Hello all!
So, its been a week since I released the podcast. And the site seems to be handling traffic more often now, this means more regular content! This time I wanted to share a WIP project that I have been working on over the last couple of days. I had a ravager sitting in a box, unbuilt and ready to go, but i wanted to do something different. Now, I wanted to convert a centerpiece for my Dark Eldar force and what better than a raider for my HQ to ride on in style?
The inspiration for this design was the Dark Eldar Tantalus from forgeworld.
The biggest obstacle for me was starting to cut up the model! I wanted to be able to do it and not mess it up horribly. Anyhow, here is the a progression of pictures, the first cuts and design:

Anyhow, thanks for reading. I shall continue to work on this as it gets done. Need to do a lot of greenstuff work on it as well as eventually paint it. But one thing is for sure, my Archon will be riding in style.

Skared Episode 9: Gaming Etiquette and International Gaming News
Thanks for downloading episode 9. This week I talk a bit about a tournament I recently went to as well as my involvement with the 40knation. - Gaming etiquette is something we should all have in mind when we play this game that relies on social contracts. I discuss list building and the do's and dont's of Gaming, before during and after a game. - In international news I discuss Adepticon, the 40K UK GT, and some New releases, can someone say necrons? Of course I finish off the show with some upcomming events.

Well, it is that time of year again! The proverbial Holy Grail of wargaming.
Adepticon 2012 is this weekend. So much gaming over three days, the tables are all set and the stage is ready to receive some of the best wargamers in the world as they flock down to Chicago. The Gladiator, the Doubles, the Champions for 40k are the events that I am most interested in every year. I have never been to this great wargaming event but I hope to one day make the trip and take home some glory. So if you can't make it like me, what are you going to do?
Well I will be watching the 40K Nation live stream here . This will be aired live from 9-6 every day starting tomorrow friday and going on till sunday. There will be interviews and gaming and more gaming! So, if you are stuck at home like me sit back and watch!
In other news I have a 40K tournament this weekend on saturday, 4 rounds 1500pts at the Gamers Lair a local store here in Barrie. I tested my army out twice yesterday to very good results. I did film another battle report so expect that soon to be posted on the you tube channel. In podcast news the next episode shoud be released within the week, I just got hired for a new job starting monday so I shall be busy again.

Dear Skaredalites: Episode 9 has been pushed back a few days. Baby has not been feeling too well so I am a bit behind on the recording.
As for the hobby table, I have been gearing up for the 1500pt tournament this weekend in Barrie. It has been interesting to go back down to 1500pts (from the regular 1850). This has made me explore other units in the Dark Eldar book. I decided to take out the Razorwing (for the first time in a year and a half!) and instead, build and paint 5 scourges. These scourges are armed with 2 haywire blasters, a decent AI and AT gun that complements the other weapons in the squad quite nicely. I am looking forward to testing them out on the field (I hope to have another game on wed). I have also been very active on my twitter account @skari2 so give me a follow if you are a tweeter for more constant updates.
I thought that this would be a good time to show you all a WIP of the 5 scourge. I magnetized the two special weapons and got some extra feather wings. enjoy!

Again? I hear you ask. Well, yes and no. Once again the Kabal ventures against the space marines, this time the Dark Eldar are taken by surprise! In one of the Battle Missions that sees the guile of an Archon tested, and the will of the Emperor shook.

Salutations all!
Did quite a lot of painting today. I am really getting geared up to participate in the tournament on the 21st, so everything needs to be painted (not a requirement, but you get points for it) but every point at a tournament counts! I wanted to show off the uncubi unit WIP and their venom:
They are at the basing stage and need a wash and then highlights.
There, thats what I have been doing!. Also, some of you might have noticed that I added a paypal donation box on the left side of the screen, if you wish to donate to the podcast to help keep the domain, upgrade the site and keep the podcast running feel free to give any ammount. Welcome to this Skared! Batrep. This time you will se the infamous Dark Kin battle against the Noble Space marines.
